I am Amy Gallant, founder of Enlightened Being Co.
I spent years as a professional ballet dancer—an environment that demands precision, resilience, and an intimate understanding of the body. That chapter cultivated not only physical strength, but a lifelong respect for how movement, nourishment, and mental clarity intertwine. When I transitioned out of dance, I became a Pilates instructor and headed back into academia to further my education in kinesiology and nutrition.
That same intensity of focus turned toward a new passion: understanding how to optimize human performance, health, and emotional well-being. I immersed myself in the world of functional medicine, adaptogens, and plant-based healing. Through my own journey—balancing motherhood, entrepreneurship, and a commitment to personal growth—I discovered functional mushrooms as a powerful, sustainable foundation for supporting the body, mind, and spirit.
Yet, the deeper I explored the supplement industry, the clearer a problem became: lack of transparency.
